Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is the appropriate age to start using the Podee® Baby Bottle?
The principal purpose in using the Podee Baby Bottle is to help reduce colic, ear infections, and reflux. This is accomplished when the baby uses the bottle in an upright or semi-upright position. Hence, it is best to use this bottle when the baby is able to sit in an upright or semi-upright position. Recommended 3+ months.
2. How do we make sure that the milk flows easily?
Make sure that the bottom of the teat is sealed tightly between the adapter and the screw collar to prevent air from getting into the bottle. If air enters the bottle problems with the flow can occur. Also, make sure that the short tube is connected to the bottom of the disc that goes on top of the bottle, or the system will not work. The teat can be primed with milk by squeezing the wide part of the teat to bring milk up to fill the teat. Sometimes the opening of the cross cut variable flow teat can stick together causing flow issues this can be easily fixed by sliding a toothpick or something similar in and out of the opening a few times to widen the hole size. For more information on setting up the Podee bottle correctly see instructions below.
3. Will I bond with my baby?
The Podee system is designed to help with and not to take over the feeding of your baby. By using the Podee system your hands are left free to hold and touch your baby. Using Podee actually enhances bonding as you can hold your baby on your knee facing you. Eye to eye contact allows your baby to become familiar with your face much more quickly; when feeding twins or other multiples you can feed them all at the same time.
4. Where can I use my Podee®?
Podee can be used almost anywhere; in the home whilst holding your baby; in the high chair whilst feeding solid food when your baby will drink when ready which also promotes hand/mouth co-ordination; in the push chair whilst out and about or shopping, in the car, in fact, almost anywhere you can think of.
5. What about travel?
For use when travelling with your baby, Podee is unrivaled. On the way to the airport or where space is restricted it is very easy to feed your baby using Podee.

The new Podee baby bottle is made of BPA-Free & Lead-Free material.
10. Are other teats of different brands compatible with Podee® bottle?
We strongly recommend using teats made by Podee. Other brand teats are designed to work only with ordinary baby feeding bottles while teats made by Podee are designed to work only with Podee Baby Bottle. Using teats other than the Podee brand may or may not work properly with the Podee Baby Bottle.
11. We find that some of the latex teats get bigger in size over time. What causes this?
It is common with latex teats to swell slowly when they are in contact with some substance, like oily or fatty liquids. Normal acids found in baby’s mouth can also make the latex teats swollen. Swollen latex teats will cause its material to be sticky, weak, and break easily. We strictly recommend for parents to discontinue use of the latex teats when one of these signs are present. Replace the latex teats frequently to avoid this problem.
12. The bottle leaks when laid on its side. What can we do?
The air vent in the feeding system is designed to prevent a vacuum effect inside the bottle when the baby drinks. The system will not function properly without this vent. When the bottle is laid on its side, the liquid will slowly make its way through this vent and thus cause the leakage. As much as possible, keep the bottle in a vertical position to prevent the bottle from leaking. You can also use the “Gimme-A-Hug” Bottle Holder (available on our online store) to keep the bottle in a vertical position.
13. How do I resolve a problem with tubes sliding off the plastic adapters after cleaning several times?
Cut at least 8mm off the ends of the tube to make the connection tight again. Buy the replacement tubes when needed.
14. How do you put together the Podee Toddler Bottle?
